Exploring the Rules of"Symptoms-Syndromes-Herbs-Dosage"in Treating Initial Stage Cerebral Hemor-rhage Based on Real-world Data Mining

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the intrinsic rules of"symptoms-syndromes-herbs-dosage"for the initial stage of cerebral hemorrhage by conducting data mining on traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions for patients hospitalized during the acute phase(≤72 h)from Janurary1975 to December 2005 at Dongzhimen Hospital,Bei-jing University of Chinese Medicine.Methods:In this study,the medical records of patients with cerebral hemor-rhage were obtained through the inpatient information system of Dongzhimen Hospital Information Center,and man-ually searched and screened.Excel was used to construct database.SPSS was used for descriptive statistical analy-sis and cluster analysis.R studio software was used for co-occurrence frequency analysis.IBM SPSS Modeler18.0 was used for association analysis.Results:Among 147 cases of initial-stage cerebral hemorrhage patients,the main syndromes identified were syndrome of excessive fu-viscera caused by phlegm-heat,syndrome of hyperactivi-ty of wind-phlegm-fire,syndrome of upward disturbance of wind-fire,and syndrome of blockade of wind-phlegm-static blood,each showing different primary symptoms.The top five most frequently used herbs were rhubarb,trichosanthes,arisaema cum bile,mirabilite,and uncaria.The properties of the herbs were mainly cold,warm,and neutral,while their tastes were predominantly bitter,sweet,and pungent.Their meridian tropism mainly involved the liver,stomach,lung,and spleen channels,and their effects included resolving phlegm,suppressing hyperactive liver for calming endogenous wind,purgation,and promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis.Association analysis showed strong associations among rhubarb,trichosanthes,arisaema cum bile,and mirabilite.Cluster anal-ysis grouped high-frequency herbs into 5 categories:1)promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis;2)nourishing yin and dredging channels,suppressing hyperactive liver for calming endogenous wind;3)waking up the patient from unconscious-ness by clearing away heart-fire;4)clearing heat and dissipating phlegm,catharsis and expelling heat;5)invigorating spleen,dispelling dampness and activating blood.Conclusion:There are certain in-herent rules among"symptoms-syndromes-herbs-dosage"in the initial stage of cerebral hemorrhage.关键词
