Abstract
Objective:To explore the effects of acetylcysteine combined with clarithromycin on symptoms, pulmonary ventilation, and Th1/Th2 cytokine imbalance in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP).Methods:A total of 114 MPP children admitted to a hospital from April 2021 to April 2024 were randomly assigned to the control group(n=57,clarithromycin monotherapy)or the observation group(n=57,acetylcysteine plus clarithromycin)using a random number table.Lung ventilation functions[forced vital capacity(FVC),maximum voluntary ventilation(MVV),maximal mid-expiratory flow(MMEF),forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1)/FVC ratio]and Th1/Th2 cytokines[interferon-γ(INF-γ),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-4(IL-4),IL-6,IL-10]were measured before and after treatment.Clinical efficacy, symptom improvement, and adverse drug reactions were compared between groups. Results:After treatment, serum levels of TNF-α,IL-4,IL-6,IL-10,and INF-γ decreased significantly in both groups(P<0.05),with more pronounced reductions in the observation group(P<0.05).Conversely,FVC,MVV,MMEF,and FEV1/FVC increased significantly in both groups(P<0.05),with higher values in the observation group(P<0.05).The observation group showed shorter resolution times for fever, cough, lung rales, and pulmonary shadows(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 94.74%in the observation group, significantly higher than 80.70%in the control group(P<0.05).No significant difference in adverse drug reaction rates was found between groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Acetylcysteine combined with clarithromycin effectively alleviates symptoms, improves pulmonary ventilation, and enhances clinical efficacy in children with MPP,without increasing the risk of adverse reactions.关键词
