Abstract

Objective To study the application effect of mini clinical evaluation exercise(Mini-CEX)and direct evaluation of operational skills(DOPS)teaching evaluation models in the clinical teaching of internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Methods A total of 116 practice students of internal medicine of TCM from April 2022 to May 2022 were selected as research objects.The experimental group adopted the teaching assessment mode of Mini-CEX and DOPS,while the control group adopted the traditional teaching assessment mode.The scores on the Mini-CEX and DOPS scales,as well as the satisfaction levels of both teachers and students,were compared between the two groups.Results The experimental group demonstrated superior total scores in both DOPS and Mini-CEX compared to the control group.Additionally,the Mini-CEX scores for several competencies,such as TCM three-diagnosis skills,TCM clinical diagnostic ability,clinical operational proficiency,TCM therapeutic expertise,communication skills,and overall clinical competence,were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).However,no significant difference was observed between the two groups in terms of Mini-CEX scores for TCM history collection and humanistic literacy(P>0.05).Furthermore,student satisfaction levels in the experimental group were significantly higher than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The dual-track assessment model of"Mini-CEX and DOPS"can effectively strengthen the ability of clinical differentiation of student of internal medicine of TCM and the ability of TCM diagnosis and treatment.
