Abstract

As important strategic metal resources,copper and cobalt are widely used in industrial fields such as new energy.African copper-cobalt sulfide resources are gradually being developed,but traditional smelting methods have problems such as low efficiency and high iron leaching rate.For a certain copper-cobalt sulfide concentrate in Africa,the influencing factors and degree of metal leaching behavior are analyzed by using parameters such as pre-leaching acid amount,oxygen partial pressure,leaching time,leaching temperature,and liquid-solid ratio as experimental conditions,and the optimization scheme of oxygen pressure leaching process is studied to improve the leaching rate of copper and cobalt and suppress the leaching of iron.After systematic investigation,under the optimal process conditions,the pre-leaching acid amount is 150 kg/t ore,the oxygen partial pressure is 0.6 MPa,the leaching time is 4 h,the leaching temperature is 180℃,and the liquid-solid ratio is 5∶1.At this point,the leaching rates of copper and cobalt reach 98.23%and 98.50%,respectively,while the leaching rate of iron is only 3.42%.In the leaching residue,the content of copper and cobalt is extremely low,and iron is mainly enriched in the form of ferric oxide,and the acidity of the leaching solution is moderate,which facilitates the subsequent separation and recovery of copper and cobalt.Research has shown that oxygen pressure leaching technology can efficiently process copper-cobalt sulfide ore,with advantages such as high metal extraction rate,significant iron inhibition effect,and good process stability,providing technical reference for the efficient development of similar resources.
