Abstract
Objective This study aimed to explore the relationship between immune cell phenotypes and Meniere's disease(MD)using Mendelian randomization(MR).Methods A two-sample MR study was conducted using data from 731 immune phenotypes and MD obtained from an online genome-wide association study(GWAS)database.Inverse-variance weighted(IVW)analysis was used as the primary method,with single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)related to immune phenotypes serving as exposure factors.Sensitivity analyses were performed to test the robustness of the MR assumptions.Additionally,reverse MR analysis was employed to assess the possibility of reverse causality between immune cell phenotypes and MD.Results We had identified a causal relationship between 33 immune cell phenotypes and MD,including 11 in the B cell group,5 in the Treg group,4 in the TBNK group,7 in the mature T cell group,2 in the myeloid cell group,and 4 in the CDC group.Among these,20 phenotypes showed a potential protective effect against MD,while the remaining 13 were risk factors.Conclusion MR analysis shows that immune cells are closely related to MD,with some having protective effects and others being risk factors.关键词
