Advances in Research on Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss in Aged People
摘要
Abstract
Sudden sensorineural hearing loss(SSNHL)is a common otolaryngology emergency,defined as two consecutive episodes of sensorineural hearing loss≥20 dB HL within 72 h.Sudden sensorineural hearing loss in the elderly is unique in that most of these patients are characterized by multiple underlying diseases,slow metabolic rate,and often drug contraindications,which brings great challenges for clinical management and outcome prognosis.This article will summarize the age category,etiology,pathogenesis,clinical manifestations,intervention measures and prognostic factors of sudden sensorineural hearing loss in the elderly to provide some guidance for clinical practice.关键词
