Studies on the modernization and development of rural water supply

Abstract
Focusing on the strategic goal of rural water supply modernization,the current situation and development trends of rural water supply in China are systematically reviewed and thoroughly analyzed.A theoretical framework,connotations,and key characteristics of modernization are proposed,along with implementation paths.Rural water supply modernization should not be a simple"westernization",nor should it directly adopt urban water supply models;a"one-size-fits-all"approach must also be avoided.Instead,efforts should be based on the actual conditions in rural China,adhering to the principles of local adaptation and proactive guidance.Aligned with the new development stage and the new development philosophy,and under the framework of a new development pattern,the"3+1"standardized model for construction and management should be comprehensively implemented to achieve high-quality rural water supply characterized by sound system layout,safe and intensive facilities,standardized and professional management,and high-quality and efficient services.Rural water supply modernization features broad coverage,systemic coordination,regional adaptability,technological advancement,and sustainable development.It requires a shift in perspective,beyond water supply itself,to explore implementation paths suited to China's national context.Policy guidance should foster international perspectives,promote the adoption of advanced technologies and models,connect rural systems to broader water networks,enhance water source security,build an integrated urban-rural water governance system,and implement a water supply model that benefits rural livelihoods,thus providing a solid foundation for rural revitalization.关键词
