Abstract

Using Callicarpa kwangtungensis as the material,the chloroplast genome sequence was sequenced by high-throughput sequencing technology,and the complete chloroplast genome was as-sembled and annotated.The results indicated that the chloroplast genome of Callicarpa kwangtun-gensis(GenBank No.OR540410)was 154 185 bp in size and had a tetrad structure:one large single-copy region(LSC,84 958 bp),one small single-copy region(SSC,17 825 bp),and a pair of reverse repeat sequences(IRa,IRb,both 25 701 bp),the total GC content was 38.08%.The chloroplast genome encodes a total of 131 genes,among which there were 86 protein-coding genes,37 tRNA genes,and 8 rRNA genes.There were 30 codons with a synonymous codon usage degree(RSCU)greater than 1,with a focus on codons ending with A/T.A total of 62 scattered repetitive sequences and 58 simple repetitive sequences(SSR)were identified,mainly A/T repeats.Selection pressure analysis indicated that positive selection signals emerged in a total of seven genes,namely ycf2,psbD,rbcL,psbB,petB,rps8,and ndhF.Phylogenetic analysis indicated that the genetic relation-ship between Callicarpa kwangtungensis and Callicarpa cathayana Hung T.Chang was the closest.
