Abstract
Smart highway expansion refers to the use of intelligent and information technology to upgrade the existing highway system,aiming to improve the transportation capacity and service level of the highway,and realize the intelligence,safety and efficiency of the transportation process.Compared with the traditional physical reconstruction and expansion,intelligent capacity expansion has the advantages of small investment scale,short construction time,and small impact on traffic,and can greatly improve the carrying capacity of transportation infrastructure with low resource consumption,which is an effective strategy to alleviate traffic pressure.The paper reviews the research status of intelligent transportation at home and abroad,analyzes the digital control methods and application effects of intelligent capacity expansion in road network optimization,discusses its important role in improving highway capacity,service level and management efficiency,and realizes sustainable development,and puts forward the direction of future research.关键词
