1株鸡源奇异变形杆菌的分离、鉴定与生物学特性研究
Isolation,identification,and biological characterization of a Proteus mirabilis strain from poultry

Abstract
This study aimed to preliminarily investigate the antimicrobial resistance and potential pathogenic risks of Proteus mirabilis carried by clinically healthy chickens from poultry farms in Loudi,Hunan Province.A total of 20 cloacal swabs and fecal samples were collected from these poultry farms,and one isolate of Proteus mirabilis(LD-10)was successfully obtained through isolation and identification processes.The isolate was further confirmed as Proteus mirabilis by biochemical identification,specific gene(atpD)PCR amplification,and 16S rRNA gene sequencing.Subsequently,the isolate's swarming motility and biofilm formation capability were assessed,antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed against 15 antimicrobial agents belonging to six classes via microbroth dilution methods,and the presence of major virulence genes was examined through PCR amplification.The results demonstrated that the LD-10 isolate exhibited strong biofilm-forming ability(OD570=0.897±0.140)and significant swarming motility.Additionally,the isolate displayed multidrug resistance to 14 tested antibiotics,including cefoperazone,cefepime,imipenem,nalidixic acid,and ciprofloxacin,while remaining sensitive only to meropenem.PCR analysis identified multiple key virulence-related genes in LD-10,including hpmB,rpoA,mrpA,fliL,zapA,ureC,atfA,pmfA,and rsbA,though the atfC gene was not detected.Collectively,these findings suggest that the LD-10 isolate possesses strong biofilm-forming capability,multidrug resistance,and various virulence factors,indicating its potential risk for transmission and pathogenicity within poultry farming environments.The present results can provide preliminary insights into the antimicrobial resistance and potential pathogenic risk posed by Proteus mirabilis in the local poultry industry.关键词
