Abstract

The objective was to study the rules of material change during processing on Notopterygium forbesii and its processed slices by quantitative method,after the establishment of content determination of 7 active ingredients in Notopterygium forbesii with HPLC.13 batches of raw herbs and its processed slices were used to measure the contents of chlorogenic acid,ferulic acid,nodakenin,notopterol,phenethyl ferulate,isoimperatorin,and falcarindiol,so as to clarify the material transfer rules.The analysis was performed on a Waters Phenyl-Hexyl C18 column(250.0 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm),with acetonitrile-0.1%phosphoric acid water as the mobile phase in a gradient elution mode at the flow rate of 0.5 mL/min,the detection wavelength of 210 nm,and the column temperature of 30℃.The results showed that under these conditions,the content of the above-mentioned seven components was successfully analyzed in 13 batches of raw herbs and processed slices,and the change rate calculation showed that the content of nodakenin and notopterol dropped by more than 20%in the slices compared with the raw herbs.The average content of chlorogenic acid and isoimperatorin in the slices was slightly decreased,while the average contents of ferulic acid,phenethyl ferulate,and falcarindiol showed an increasing trend.These proportional changes suggest that the slicing process may cause the loss of volatile components and the degradation or transformation of unstable components,accompanied by the generation of certain active ingredients.HPLC method is established for seven key components in Notopterygium forbesii and its processed slices,and the material transfer rates between raw herbs and processed slices are quantified,which contributes to quality control and standardization of Notopterygium forbesii products.
