Advances in researches on the role of symbiotic bacteria in insect aging and healthspan
摘要
Abstract
Symbiotic bacteria exert profound impact on various physiological processes of insect hosts,including nutritional metabolism,development,reproduction,immunity and stress tolerance.In recent years,increasing evidence has demonstrated their critical role in modulating insect aging and healths-pan.With the progression of research from descriptive observations to mechanistic understanding,the contribution of symbiotic bacteria to insect aging and healthspan is being gradually elucidated.This review outlines the definitions of insect aging and healthspan,highlights common characterization meth-ods,and synthesizes current findings on how symbiotic bacteria affect aging processes and promote healthspan,along with the underlying mechanisms.The insights aim to inform future research direc-tions and support potential applications in insect health management and biotechnology.关键词
