Abstract
The Dungan people in Central Asia are the descendants of Hui Muslims who moved from China's northwestern regions to Central Asia in the late Qing Dynasty.Although their language and other aspects have changed,they still adhere to traditional Chinese culture in terms of clothing.Dungan clothing preserves the characteristics of the Qing Dynasty during important festivals and celebrations.For example,groom's wedding attire has transitioned from traditional long robes and mandarin jackets to Western-style suits,whereas brides'costumes remain relatively traditional with modern Muslim-style integration.In daily life,their clothing has incorporated local elements and gradually lost some traditional characteristics.Moreover,traditional manufacturing techniques have declined due to various factors.The main reasons for the decline of their traditional clothing culture are changes in the cultural and natural environment and the reduced practicality of traditional clothing.To preserve their cultural heritage,the Dungan people have established museums and taken other measures.Studying Dungan clothing is of great significance for understanding cultural diversity and promoting global cultural harmony.关键词
