Abstract
Objective:To study the changes and significance of retinol-binding protein(RBP),α 1-microglobulin(α1-MG),and transferrin(TRF)levels in the serum and urine of elderly patients with diabetic nephropathy.Method:81 elderly patients with diabetic nephropathy admitted to Qianxinan Prefecture Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the experimental group, and another 65 elderly patients with simple diabetes were selected as the control group. The levels of serum and urine RBP,α1-MG,and transferrin in both groups were detected on the day of visit. The levels of RBP,α1-MG and transferrin in serum and urine of the two groups of patients were compared. Then, the differences of the above indicators among patients with different stages of renal injury in the experimental group were compared, and the correlation between the research indicators and renal function was analyzed.Result:The levels of serum RBP and α1-MG,as well as the levels of urine RBP,α1-MG and TRF in the experimental group were all higher than those in the control group, while the level of serum TRF was lower than that in the control group. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of serum RBP and α1-MG,as well as the levels of urine RBP,α1-MG and TRF in patients with stage Ⅲ and stage Ⅳ renal injury were all higher than those in patients with stage Ⅱ,while the level of serum TRF was lower than that in patients with stage Ⅱ,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of serum RBP and α1-MG,as well as the levels of urine RBP,α1-MG and TRF,were all positively correlated with the severity of diabetic nephropathy. The level of serum TRF was negatively correlated with the severity of diabetic nephropathy, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The levels of serum RBP and α1-MG in patients with diabetic nephropathy abnormally increase compared with the levels of urine RBP,α1-MG and TRF,and the level of serum TRF abnormally decreases. Moreover, all the above changes are closely related to the severity of diabetic nephropathy.Monitoring the levels of RBP,α1-MG and TRF in serum and urine is helpful for the early clinical diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy and the monitoring of disease progression.关键词
