Construction of Core Data Set of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine for Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract
Objective To construct a core data set of integrated Chinese and Western medicine for coronary heart disease.Methods Literature research and semi-structured interviews were utilized to construct an initial list of core indicators.Delphi expert consultation and expert consensus meetings were applied to screen and identify the core indicators to form a core data set of integrated Chinese and Western medicine for coronary heart disease.Results Based on the literature study and semi-structured interviews,210 indicators in 8 dimensions,including demographic characteristics,chief complaint and current medical history,comorbidities and risk factors,the four Chinese medicine diagnoses and carve-downs,tests and examinations,disease and individual characteristics,and treatments and clinical outcomes,were identified to form the initial core indicator list.Based on the characteristics of the indicators,181 indicators entered the Delphi survey.Through the screening and discussion of the Delphi survey and the expert consensus meeting,121 core indicators and 54 expansion indicators were identified.The definition and measurement scope of the indicators were agreed upon.Finally,a core data set of integrated Chinese and Western medicine for coronary heart disease with 175 indicators in 8 dimensions was formed.Conclusions The first core data set for specialized diseases in the field of integrated Chinese and Western medicine has been formulated to provide reference for data collection in clinical research as well as the methodology for constructing the core data set for traditional medicine in the future.关键词
