Effects of Jiedu Shugan Huoxue formula on adverse reactions,liver function and serum levels of DCP,AFP and AFP-L3 after microwave ablation of primary liver cancer

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of Jiedu Shugan Huoxue formula on the adverse reactions after microwave ablation of primary liver cancer(PLC),liver function and abnormal levels of prothrombin(DCP),alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)and alpha-fetoprotein anisoplast 3(AFP-L3).Methods:A total of 214 PLC patients who received microwave ablation in our hospital from January 2022 to September 2023 were randomly divided into the observation group(107 cases)and control group(107 cases).The two groups were given the same conventional western medicine treatment after surgery,and the observation group was combined with Jiedu Shugan Huoxue formula on this basis.After treatment,the efficacy of solid tumors in the two groups was evaluated.TCM syndrome scores(major diseases such as liver pain and abdominal distension and secondary diseases such as dizziness,weakness,poor appetite,irritability,etc.),serum liver function indexes(AST,Alb,etc.),and tumor markers(DCP,AFP,etc.)of the two groups were compared before and after treatment.And a score of Quality of Life Scale 2.0(QOL-LC V2.0)for liver cancer patients.The disappearance time of adverse reactions after microwave ablation was measured in the two groups.Results:The objective response rate(ORR)and disease control rate(DCR)were 95.33％(102/107)and 99.07％(106/107)in the observation group,and 87.85％(94/107)and 95.33％(102/107)in the control group,respectively.The ORR of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05),but there was no significant difference in DCR between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the scores of major diseases(liver pain,abdominal distension,emotional depression)and secondary diseases(dizziness,weakness,poor appetite,irritability,bitter mouth,dry mouth,sticky stool)were significantly decreased in both groups(P＜0.05),especially in the observation group(P＜0.05).After treatment,serum levels of ALT,AST,TBil,DCP,AFP,AFP-L3 and CEA in 2 groups were significantly decreased(P＜0.05),and serum Alb levels were significantly increased(P＜0.05),especially in the observation group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the physical function,psychological function,symptom adverse reaction score and total score of QOL-LC V2.0 in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P＜0.05).The disappearance time of postoperative adverse reactions(pain,fever,nausea and vomiting,general discomfort)of observation group was shorter than control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:After microwave ablation combined with Jiedu Shugan Huoxue formula can effectively improve the anti-tumor efficacy of PLC,reduce the serum DCP,AFP,AFP-L3 levels,improve liver function,and accelerate the relief of postoperative adverse reactions.关键词
