From Diploma Society to Skills Society:Social Transition of the Relationship Between Vocational and General Education

Abstract
The relationship between vocational and general education is a sociological concept,restricted by other social subsystems,which should be studied in a large social structure.In the transition process of China from diploma society to skills society,the priority of skill has replaced the priority of diploma,and the relationship between vocational and general education has also been changed.Using the sociological theoretical tools such as function theory,conflict theory,interaction theory and exchange theory,it is found that the skills society is conducive to eliminating the value imbalance,binary opposition,interaction barrier,and Matthew effect between vocational and general education in the diploma society by reconstructing the educational function,reconstructing the social system,reorganizing the educational relationship,and reshaping the educational exchange value,which promotes the equal,continuous,harmonious and interconnected relationship between vocational and general education.However,it is also necessary to pay attention to avoiding the risks that may occur in the transition of the relationship between vocational and general education from diploma society to skill society such as"useless of diploma""conflict of interest"and"narrowing of skills".关键词
