Professor SUN Shuchen's Treatment of Recurrent Allergic Rhinitis Based on"Treat the Upper Jiao with Light Drugs"Theory
摘要
Abstract
Professor SUN Shuchen considers that recurrent allergic rhinitis is located in the nose,which belongs to the upper jiao clear orifices.When clear yang qi ascends normally,the nasal cavity remains unobstructed;when clear yang fails to ascend,nasal qi becomes stagnant leading to nasal obstruction,failure of qi to transform fluids results in nasal discharge,and unresolved turbid pathogens cause recurrence.Based on"treat the upper jiao with light drugs"theory and clinical experience,Professor SUN proposes that the key pathogenesis of recurrent allergic rhinitis lies in the failure of clear yang to ascend and nasal orifice dysfunction.The treatment principle focuses on warming and ascending clear yang to facilitate nasal orifice function.Medication should emphasize light,ascending and floating properties,employing sequential TCM nasal therapies including:unblocking yang to relieve stagnation,ascending yang to boost qi,and warming yang to resolve turbidity.This approach aims to uplift clear yang,dispel turbid pathogens,and restore nasal orifice patency,thereby improving symptoms while preventing recurrence,with consistently excellent clinical outcomes.关键词
