Effect of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotube Rooting Medium on the Growth of Strawberry Virus-free Seedlings

Abstract
[Objective]To establish a strawberry tissue culture system based on carbon nanotube medium.[Method]This study used'Hongy-an'strawberry as the experimental material to explore the influence of multi-walled carbon nanotube rooting medium with different concentra-tions(25,50 and 100 mg/L)on the growth of strawberry tissue culture seedlings,and observed the growth of adventitious roots.[Result]The results showed that adding multi-walled carbon nanotubes to the strawberry rooting culture medium significantly improved the callus induction rate.Compared with the control group,50 mg/L multi-walled carbon nanotube rooting medium had the best effect,increasing the height of vi-rus-free seedlings by 27.1%,the total root length by 83.4%,the total root volume by 163.8%,and the number of root tips by 70.1%.Mi-crostructural observations revealed that the multi-walled carbon nanotubes were absorbed on the surface of the adventitious roots and did not ag-glomerate inside them.The survival rate of transplanting after acclimatization was above 95%,and the young seedlings grew well.[Conclu-sion]In this study,a multi-walled carbon nanotube rooting medium(50 mg/L)suitable for strawberry tissue culture was selected to provide technical support for the application of carbon nanomaterials in strawberry propagation.关键词
