A Screen-Printed Sensor Based on Bismuth Modification for the Simultaneous Detection of Pb(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)

Abstract
In scenarios involving illegal sewage discharge from factories and oil tanker leaks,heavy metal concentrations often exceed per-missible limits,necessitating on-site detection.To solve this problem,a sensor fabricated by screen printing based on the in-situ bismuth plating method is proposed,enabling the simultaneous detection of lead and cadmium ions.By integrating the sensor with a suitable me-chanical structure,a preliminary full-system test is conducted to validate the feasibility of the proposed approach.The screen-printed sen-sor exhibits favorable electrochemical characteristics.Following bismuth modification,the sensitivity for detecting lead ions is increased by 1.61 times,while the sensitivity for cadmium ion detection is improved by 3.68 times.This proposed scheme enables the reduction of heavy metal ion detector size to a portable range,effectively overcoming the disadvantages of bulky,non-portable detectors.The presented novel solution for rapid and convenient heavy metal detection offers promising applications in the field of environmental protection.关键词
