Abstract

Taking low grade metallized pellets with a metallization rate of 60% as the research object,the melting process of metallized pellets,the melting point and viscosity of slag,and the interaction between slag and refractory have been analyzed by thermodynamic software FactSage 8.3.The results indicate that the melting temperature of metalized pellets should be greater than 1 515 ℃.When adding 1 t of metalized pellets for melting,an additional 43.6 kg of carbon powder should be added.With the increase of hot heel,the iron yield of metallized pellets increases,but it is lower than 80%,and it is still necessary to add an appropriate amount of carbon powder to promote the deep reduction of the metallized pellets.According to the CaO-SiO2-Al2O3 phase diagram,the target composition of metallized pellets slag is determined.When melting 1 t of metallized pellets,6.31 kg Al2O3,2.66 kg SiO2,and 12.64 kg MgO should be added.The melting point of molten slag after modification is 1 405 ℃.When the melting temperature is 1 600℃,the viscosity of the modification slag is 0.164 Pa·s.Based on the modification slag,with the increase of MgO addition,the erosion of the lining of the melting pyrolysis furnace is weakened.
