Collaborative optimization of high-speed railway train stop planning and timetable considering passenger satisfaction

Abstract
To enhance the alignment between train timetable and passenger demand,and to strengthen the intrinsic connection between train stop planning and train timetable,this study conducted a collaborative optimization of train stop planning and timetable,which was of great significance for improving railway service quality.From the perspective of passenger travel satisfaction,considering the travel demand of passengers in different travel periods,the passenger travel satisfaction function was constructed from both travel attainment and travel comfort.Taking the shortest total train travel time,the least number of stops,and the greatest passenger travel satisfaction as the objectives,this paper considered the constraints of train stops,operation,and passenger flow.This study constructed a model of collaborative optimization of train stop planning and timetable,and completed the allocation of passenger flow with the objective of passenger travel satisfaction,to achieve the integration and optimization of the allocation of passenger flow,stop planning and the compilation of the train timetable.Based on the model characteristics,a particle swarm algorithm is constructed to solve the problem,where particle position vectors were designed for the variables related to both stop planning and timetable.A passenger flow allocation strategy was embedded to assign passenger demand to specific trains.Taking Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway as the background for verification and analysis,the calculation results show that through the optimization results compared with the current timetable,the total number of train stops is reduced by 19 times.The total train travel time is reduced by a total of 501 min(reduced by 2.88%).Meanwhile,the average satisfaction of passengers'travel reaches 88.2%,and the distribution of train stops and train lines as well as the passenger seating rate are more closely matched with the actual passenger flow distribution.The proposed collaborative optimization model can not only reduce the train operating costs but also effectively meet the passenger travel demand and improve passenger travel satisfaction.The results can provide a reference for the high-speed railway operation department to carry out the integrated preparation of train stop planning and timetable.关键词
