Abstract
This article studies the effects of replacing grass powder with passion fruit shells on the growth and slaughter performance of meat rabbits,and to analyze the economic benefits of meat rabbits.Twenty-four healthy IRA females meat rabbits of the same age(40 days of age),similar weight and parity were randomly divided into 4 groups with 6 females in each group and fed in a single cage.Groups A,B,C and D were treated with 0%,10%,20%and 30%passion fruit shells instead of alfalfa,respectively.The pre-trial pe-riod lasted for 5 days,and the experimental period lasted for 30 days.The results showed as follows:compared with the control group,20%passion fruit shell feed could reduce the feed to gain ratio of meat rabbits(P＜0.05),and the passion fruit shell feed had no effect on the slaughter performance of meat rabbits.The unit cost of meat rabbits was saved by 1 yuan when 20%passion fruit shell feed was used,and the economic benefits of meat rabbits were improved to a certain extent.In conclusion,adding passion fruit shell to meat rabbit feed can improve the growth performance of meat rabbits,reduce the breeding cost of meat rabbits,and improve economic ben-efits,and 20%replacement of grass meal effect is better.关键词
