Assessment of Water Security in Beijing Based on Mountains-Waters-Forests-Farmlands-Lakes-Grasslands as Life Community

Abstract
[Objective]To explore the synergistic effects of multiple elements under the concept of the mountains-waters-for-ests-farmlands-lakes-grasslands as life community on water security,and to comprehensively analyze the evolution of water se-curity in Beijing,which is of great significance for formulating a sound water resources development strategy for the city.[Methods]A comprehensive water security evaluation index system was constructed based on the concept of mountains-wa-ters-forests-farmlands-lakes-grasslands as life community.The CRITIC objective weighting method and set pair analysis meth-od were employed to comprehensively evaluate the evolutionary characteristics of Beijing's water security from 2010 to 2022,while the set pair exponential potential was used to identify its influencing factors.[Results](1)The water security of Bei-jing fluctuated significantly between"basically secure"and"relatively insecure"levels from 2010 to 2022.Although an impro-ving trend was observed,the overall situation remained serious.(2)At the subsystem level,except for the mountain subsys-tem,which was relatively stable with a slight downward trend,all other subsystems showed an improving trend.(3)The key influencing factors of Beijing's water security status included the proportion of eutrophic lakes and reservoirs and the adoption rate of water-saving irrigation.Other important factors included the soil erosion rate,soil water content,sewage reuse rate,and the degree of groundwater exploitation.[Conclusion]It is crucial to reduce the proportion of eutrophic lakes and reser-voirs,adjust water-saving irrigation policies,and enhance soil erosion management as important measures to improve the cur-rent water security situation in Beijing.关键词
