Abstract

Aiming at the high-speed characteristic and control complexity of air-jet weft insertion,GA708-280 air-jet loom was used as research reference,through analyzing air-jet weft insertion system composition and control principle,the process parameter and timing coordination scheme of some key links in weft insertion were determined.Based on the comprehensive use of WinCC upper computer and TIA Portal V18 configuration software,a human-machine interface(HMI)and PLC ladder diagram program adapted to Siemens S7-1200 were designed and developed,which was used to realize the control process monitoring and simulation test of air-jet weft insertion in configuration mode.A hardware experimental platform was built using Siemens S7-200,nozzle,air pump,solenoid valve and signal light to control work timing and functional test of the air-jet relay weft insertion.At the same time,a matching hardware electrical schematic and PLC control program were developed.The experimental results showed that the main nozzle,auxiliary nozzle and air pump can perform precise on-off coordination according to the predetermined control timing,which verified the correctness of the PLC control logic from both the gas path and circuit aspects.The work could provide support for designing,developing,and virtual simulating of weft insertion control system for modern air-jet looms.
