Abstract

Investigating variations in the rhizosphere soil microenvironment across various sugarcane cultivars in agricultural settings can provide insights into the responsiveness of the rhizosphere soil microbiota to diverse sugarcane varieties in farm-ing and soil enhancement contexts.In this study,three distinct sugarcane varieties(GR2,ROC22,and LC05136)were em-ployed as experimental materials.Illumina MiSeq high-throughput sequencing technology was utilized to investigate varia-tions in bacterial and fungal community structure,as well as enzyme activity,within the rhizosphere soil during the peak till-ering stage of sugarcane growth in the field.A control group(CK)consisting of soil without sugarcane cultivation was also included for comparison.The results of the soil enzyme activity tests revealed that there was a significant difference in enzyme activity between the rhizosphere soil and the blank soil of the three different sugarcane varieties(P<0.01,the same below),and the urease and acid phosphatase activities among the different sugarcane varieties also reached a very significant difference in activities.In terms of microbial community structure,the dominant bacterial phyla in the rhizosphere soil and blank soil were Proteobacteria,Acidobacteria,Bacteroidetes,Chloroflexi,and Actinobacteria,with abundance ratios ranging from 78.36% to 82.42%.The dominant fungal phyla were Ascomycota and Basidiomycota,with abundances ranging from 41.356% to 55.52%.There are indisputable differences in the structure of rhizosphere soil microbial communities among various varieties.From the clustering tree perspective,the rhizosphere microbial community structure of variety GR2 was relatively similar to that of variety ROC22.This study initially characterized variations in rhizosphere soil enzyme activity and microbial community composition across diverse sugarcane varieties in the field,offering a scientific foundation for future investigations into the identification of specific pivotal microbial communities associated with superior varieties.
