摘要

Abstract

To clarify the mitigation effect of exogenous hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)on pea seed germina-tion and seedling growth under drought stress,the double-layer filter paper culture dish method was used in this experiment to study the effects of 0.03%,0.06%,0.09%,0.12%and 0.24%of H2O2 immersion on pea seed germination and seedling growth and physiological characteristics under drought stress(4%PEG,P).The results showed that 4%PEG stress significantly inhibited seed germination and seedling growth of pea,and the germination potential,germination index and vigor index of the seeds as well as bud and root length and fresh weight of seedlings all decreased significantly,so it could be used as the concentration to identify drought stress.The treatment of 0.03%H2O2 immersion(0.03H+P)significantly improved the germination po-tential,germination index and viability index of pea seeds under drought stress,promoted the growth of seedling buds and roots,as well as improved the activities of ascorbate peroxidase(APX),superoxide dismutase(SOD)and catalase(CAT),reduced the malonaldehyde(MDA)content,and increased the content of proline and sol-uble sugar in buds and roots.In general,the treatment of 0.03%H2O2 immersion(0.03H+P)could significantly mitigate the inhibition effects of drought stress on seed germination and seedling growth of pea,increase the ac-tivity of antioxidant enzymes,reduce the oxidative damage under drought stress,and enhance its drought resist-ance,but the effect of high concentration H2O2 immersion was not obvious.Therefore,0.03%H2O2 could be used as the suitable concentration for pea germination and growth under drought condition.
