Chlorine removal performance from oil by coal-based activated carbon

Abstract
Coal-based activated carbon(AC)was prepared using anthracite coal as the raw material and KOH as the activator for chlorine removal from oil products.The effects of several factors,including agent-to-oil ratio,adsorption temperature,adsorption time,and initial HCl content in the oil,on the chlorine removal performance of AC were investigated.The results show that coal-based AC dechlorination rate is 70.00%at the adsorption conditions of temperature at 333.15 K,agent-to-oil ratio of 10 g/L,adsorption time of 5 h,and initial HCl content of 61.32 mg/L.The adsorption process is a spontaneous physisorption,which conforms to the Langmuir model and the quasi-second-order kinetic model,with an adsorption activation energy of 7.456 kJ/mol.关键词
