Abstract
Ionic polymer(ionomer)resins exhibit excellent mechanical and optical properties and are of great value in academic research and industrial applications.Through the solution method,a series of ionomers with different degrees of neutralization were synthesized by alkali treatment using poly(ethylene-co-methacrylic acid)(EMAA)as the precursor.The microstructure and macroscopic properties of the ionomers were characterized by FTIR,DSC,SAXS,XPS,and rheological and mechanical property tests and compared with the commercial Surlyn 8940 product.The experimental results show that with the increase in the degree of neutralization,the crosslinking degree of the EMAA-based ionomers increases,while the melt index and melting point show a general decreasing trend,accompanied by significant increases in the complex viscosity,storage modulus,and mechanical strength.When the theoretical degree of neutralization reaches 70%,the haze increases significantly.The EMAA-based ionomer with a 30%theoretical degree of neutralization prepared by the solution method exhibits structure and properties quite similar to those of the commercial Surlyn 8940 resin.关键词
