Abstract
With the integrated development of railway inspection across air,space,and ground dimensions,unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)are being increasingly deployed in railway inspection operations.Given the profound significance of UAV applications in this field,it has become imperative to cultivate and manage competent UAV operators for the railway industry.This study selected a sample of UAV operators from the railway sector and employed the behavioral event interview(BEI)method to identify and conceptualize the competency characteristics of UAV operators for railway inspection.Through this approach,a competency model for railway inspection UAV operators was constructed,accompanied by corresponding strategic recommendations for competency development.The findings enrich the research on UAV operator competencies in railway inspection,enhance the understanding of frontline UAV operators'operational practices,and hold significant implications for optimizing the design of the training system.Specifically,the results clarify the competency gaps and improvement priorities for frontline operators and construct a more targeted training system.Furthermore,this study provides scientific evidence for refining the human resource management system in the railway industry.关键词
