Abstract

In order to reduce the occupational health risk of coal miners and alleviate the pressure of occupational hazard prevention and control in coal mining enterprises,the occupational health examina-tion report data of 907 workers in a mining group in Ordos were studied.The basic demographic char-acteristics,occupational related conditions,smoking and drinking habits and types of lung function inju-ry of coal miners were statistically analyzed.Chi-square test was used to preliminarily screen the related factors that cause lung function injury.Variable assignment was performed on the significant influencing factors in univariate analysis,and the independent influencing factors of lung function injury in coal miners were determined by multivariate unconditional logistic regression.Principal component analysis was used to reduce the dimension of the selected independent influencing factors,and finally the key influencing factors of lung function injury in coal miners were determined.The results show that:There are 248 cases of lung function injury in coal miners,which is more risky than the general population,and mainly characterized by restrictive ventilatory dysfunction;There are statistically significant differ-ences in lung function injury among coal miners under different dust exposure types,ages,BMIs,smok-ing and drinking conditions,which could be identified as the key influencing factors of lung function in-jury;Compared with the control group,coal miners aged 22 to 29,with 1 to 5 years of work experience and low dust exposure,who do not smoke or drink,have a lower risk of lung function injury.The results of the study provide a new method for coal miners to identify the influencing factors that may lead to lung function damage,avoid adverse health outcomes,and improve the occupational health level in the coal industry.
