摘要

Abstract

This study aims to understand the current application status of intelligent identification technology in heat-not-burn cigarette products.A patent search was conducted on cigarette identification for heated tobacco products,and the principles and identification accuracy of six heated tobacco products with intelligent identification functionality were analyzed.The results show that:① Current solutions for intelligent cigarette identification fall into two main categories:sensor-based identification and mechanical identification.Major tobacco companies have concentrated their patent efforts in the area of sensor-based solutions.② Compared with sensor-based approaches,mechanical identification offers a simpler structure,lower cost,and higher identification accuracy.However,it cannot distinguish different types of cigarettes,which somewhat limits the level of device intelligence.③ Identification solutions based on image sensors and inductive sensors are expected to represent the future direction of intelligent cigarette identification technology.
