Abstract
[Objective]To investigate the application effect of MC Plus morning inspection instrument in the daily morning inspection of Varian Trilogy linear accelerator,and evaluate whether its performance is sufficient to meet the quality control verification requirements after daily morning inspection and maintenance.[Methods]During the 15 weeks of continuous operation of the linear accelerator,two devices,MC Plus and PTW QUICKCHECK webline,were used every morning to monitor the environmental conditions,off-axis ratio consistency,and radiation field width of the linear accelerator.The results of each test were recorded in detail and stability analysis on the results of the MC Plus morning inspection instrument was conducted.At the same time,the results of the two morning inspection instruments were compared to analyze their differences.[Results]The MC Plus morning inspection instrument demonstrated extremely high stability in monitoring the performance output changes of the Varian linear accelerator.Its radiation field width error is less than 2 mm,while the errors in symmetry,flatness,and center point output dose are all controlled within 3%,which are not inferior to the performance of the PTW QUICKCHECK webline morning inspection instrument.[Conclusion]The MC Plus morning inspection instrument can effectively and accurately monitor the performance output changes of the Varian Trilogy linear accelerator,therefore,it is fully suitable for daily morning inspection work of accelerators.关键词
