Abstract
[Objective]More than 50%of stroke patients will have residual sensory dysfunction of the upper limbs and hands,which seriously hinders the rehabilitation process and reduces the ability of activities of daily living.Most of the existing rehabilitation devices focus on muscle strength training,with insufficient intervention in sensorimotor integration.Based on the theory of"hand-brain perception and movement"and previous clinical practice,the study developed a grasping vibration training ball with sensory input as the trigger point,aiming to provide a new type of therapeutic device and corresponding training strategies for the rehabilitation of hand function after stroke.[Methods]The training ball is equipped with anatomical finger position areas.Inside the ball,there are multi-frequency vibration modes,and on the spherical surface,there are integrated vibration switches,pressure adjustment gears,and function control buttons.A case study was used to verify the clinical effectiveness of the grasping ball.The Brunnstrom staging of the upper limbs and hands,Carroll hand function assessment,grip strength,and activities of daily living(ADL)of patients were evaluated through an 8-week intervention.[Results]After 8 weeks of intervention,in a typical case,the patient's Brunnstrom staging improved from stage I of the left upper limb and hand to stage IV of the left upper limb and hand.The Carroll hand function assessment score increased from 21 points to 80 points,and the hand grip strength recovered from 0 N to 21 N.In addition,the patient's ADL score recovered from 36 points to 80 points,and the patient could basically take care of daily life independently.[Conclusion]The hand function grasping training ball based on vibration sensory input can effectively improve the upper limb and hand functions of stroke patients and enhance the patients'self-care ability,thus having clinical practical value.关键词
