Abstract
Objective To analyze the value of standardized emergency treatment combined with radiother-apy and chemotherapy in the management of respiratory distress caused by superior vena cava syndrome(SVCS)in patients with malignant tumors. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 60 patients who visited Fuxi City People's Hospital from September 2020 to September 2024,diagnosed with respiratory distress caused by superior vena cava syndrome due to malignant tumors.Based on differences in emergency treatment protocols, the patients were divided into two groups:the observation group(standardized emergency treatment protocol,n=30)and the control group(conventional emergency treatment protocol,n=30).Blood gas parameters, quality of life(Karnofsky Performance Status,KPS)score, target tumor size, clinical efficacy, and the incidence of adverse reac-tions during treatment were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment,no significant differ-ences were found between the two groups in terms of PaO2,PaCO2,SaO2,KPS score, and target tumor size(P>0.05).After treatment, both groups showed significant improvements in PaO2,SaO2,and KPS score, with a significant re-duction in PaCO2 levels and a notable reduction in target tumor size(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the observation group showed more significant increases in PaO2,SaO2,and KPS scores(P<0.05),more pronounced re-ductions in PaCO2 levels(P<0.001),and greater tumor shrinkage(P<0.001).Furthermore,the clinical total effective rate was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group(96.67%vs.73.33%,P<0.05),and the overall incidence of adverse reactions was sig-nificantly lower in the observation group(16.67%vs.40.00%,P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with respiratory distress caused by malignant tumor-induced superi-or vena cava syndrome, standardized emergency treatment combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy can pro-mote the recovery of respiratory function, improve quality of life, effectively reduce tumor volume, and lower the risk of adverse reactions during treatment.关键词
