Professor SHI Zhenggang's Experience in Stage-Based Treatment of Pediatric Adenoid Hypertrophy
摘要
Abstract
Professor SHI Zhenggang believes that external invasion of wind pathogen is the predisposing factor for pediatric adenoid hypertrophy,while phlegm-blood stasis interaction constitutes the root of the dis-ease.Adopting a stage-based treatment approach tailored to disease progression,he divides the clinical course into four phases:initial infection stage,acute exacerbation stage,chronic persistence stage,and clinical re-mission stage.During the initial infection and acute exacerbation stages,treatment focuses on dispelling wind,unblocking orifices,resolving phlegm,and dispersing nodules.In the chronic persistence and clinical remis-sion stages,the emphasis shifts to fortifying the spleen,tonifying the lung,consolidating the exterior,com-bined with orifice-unblocking and nodule-dispersing methods to enhance constitution and reduce recurrence.Clinically,he pays close attention to predisposing factors and excels at dispelling wind and eliminating patho-gens;protects spleen-stomach function through spleen-fortifying and phlegm-resolving methods;strengthens constitution by invigorating the spleen and nourishing the lung while consolidating the exterior and checking sweating to prevent relapse;emphasizes stasis-dispelling and collateral-dredging therapies,frequently using blood-activating and stasis-resolving herbs with remarkable efficacy.A representative case is included for verifi-cation.关键词
