Abstract

[Objective]In order to screen a silage corn variety suitable for local soil condition and with high yields and economic benefits,so as to provide some reference for farmers in seed selection.[Methods]Two silage corn varieties bred in Xinjiang were selected and one variety bred in Inner Mongolia was introduced.Through comparison of the agronomic traits,resistance,forage yields and economic benefits of the three silage corn varieties,the one suitable for promotion was screened.[Results]For XINSIYU No.12 variety,the period from emergence to harvest(middle dough stage)was 131 days,with a plant height of 310.50 cm and a stem diameter of 2.38 cm.It had strong resistance to lodging,insect pests and diseases,and drought.The biological yield was 92 464.95 kg per hectare with the net profit of 12 712.80 yuan per hectare.For WT171623 and JINLING 386 varieties,they had strong resistance to lodging and drought,but poor resistance to insect pests and diseases such as red spider mites,the harvest periods were 115 and 121 days respectively,and the biological yields were 63 865.20 and 77 563.80 kg per hectare respectively.[Conclusion]XINSIYU No.12 showed the best comprehensive performance and was suitable for planting and promotion in Hetan reclamation area.However,it was necessary to pay attention to strengthening the technical research on cultivation,field management,etc.,so as to improve the uniformity of crops.
