KAP Survey on Brucellosis Among Village-level Animal Disease Preventers in Hami City of Xinjiang

Abstract
[Objective]In order to investigate the knowledge,attitude and practice(KAP)level regarding brucellosis prevention and control,as well as the influencing factors of KAP,among village-level animal disease preventers in Hami City,so as to provide reference for the subsequent publicity and intervention work.[Methods]Based on a cross-sectional survey,108 village-level animal disease preventers in Hami City were sampled to analyze the factors influencing their KAP level for brucellosis.[Results]The results showed that the knowledge awareness rate was 95.27%,the positive attitude/willingness ratio was 88.88%,104 preventers(96.30%)always wore masks and gloves for protection during work,99 preventers(91.67%)wore protective clothing,100 preventers(92.59%)wore rubber shoes or shoe covers.[Conclusion]The overall KAP level of village-level animal disease preventers was relatively high,but there were still some risk behaviors(such as direct blood sampling or vaccination without gloves)in actual operation,some preventers had a low awareness rate of"brucellosis diagnosis and treatment"(55.31%).It was recommended to strengthen education and publicity for high-risk groups at all levels,and urge them to maintain personal protection.关键词
