Abstract

To investigate the effects of microbial inoculant on the growth,yield,and nutritional quality of forage oats(Avena sativa L.)and evaluate its improvement potential,the Yingguangbao microbial inoculant was applied through seed dressing and foliar spraying to three oat varieties(Fuyan60,Lianyan No.1,and Yema).Comparative analysis was conducted on seed-ling survival rate,production performance,and nutritional quality.The results showed that seed dressing with Yingguangbao significantly improved the seedling survival rate of Yema,but showed no effect on Fuyan60 and Lianyan No.1.Foliar applica-tion demonstrated optimal effects on Lianyan No.1,significantly increasing plant height,leaf number,flag leaf length,hay yield,crude protein content,and relative feed value,while reducing neutral detergent fiber(NDF)and acid detergent fiber contents.For Yema,foliar application increased leaf number,spike length,flag leaf dimensions,and first internode diameter,while decreasing neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber.Fuyan60 showed minimal response,with only flag leaf length improvement and reduced fiber contents.Both application methods enhanced oat performance,with Lianyan No.1 showing the most significant improvements in yield and nutritional quality.
