Effect of powder surface modification on the properties of photocurable 3D printed ZrO2 ceramics

Abstract
The low viscosity,high solid content and high dispersion of the ceramic slurry are the key to the prepara-tion of photocurable 3D printed ZrO2 ceramics with excellent mechanical properties.In this paper,polymer dispersant KOS110 was used to modify the surface of ZrO2 powder.By adjusting the slurry composition and photocuring condi-tions,the effects of surface modification on the rheological properties,photocuring properties of ZrO2 ceramic slurry and the microstructure and mechanical properties of ZrO2 ceramic parts were investigated.The results show that KOS110 adsorbs on the surface of ZrO2 particles through double anchoring groups at multiple points to form a stable sterically hindered polymer chain.The hydrophilic groups on the polyacrylate chain have excellent compatibility with the resin PPTTA and ACMO,which significantly improves the dispersion of ZrO2 in the slurry.Under the condition of high solid content of 46.5%,the viscosity of the slurry is less than or equal to 1.88 Pa·s,the average shrinkage rate of the ceramic parts is 21.9%,the maximum Vickers hardness is 1 814 HV,and the average hardness is 1 574 HV.The research results can provide theoretical basis and technical reference for high-performance 3D printed ceramic man-ufacturing,process parameter optimization,material performance improvement,and practical applications.关键词
