Abstract

Differences exist among telecommunication satellite platforms in terms of payload carry-ing capacity,maturity,and development costs.In current engineering practice,single or multi-ple indicators such as payload carrying capacity or payload ratio are often employed to evaluate satellite platform options.Such approaches fail to comprehensively capture the multi-dimensional performance of satellite platforms across aspects such as carrying capacity,cost efficiency,matu-rity.To address this limitation,this paper proposes an evaluation method for satellite platforms based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)and the Technique for Order Preference by Simi-larity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS).The AHP method is employed to construct a hierarchical structure comprising eight evaluation criteria:payload weight,payload power consumption,pay-load heat consumption,platform cost,unit payload cost,delivery time,maturity,and flexibil-ity.Weight coefficients for each sub-criterion are determined through AHP,and TOPSIS is sub-sequently used to conduct a comprehensive assessment of various communication satellite plat-form schemes.The results demonstrate that the satellite platform evaluation method based on AHP-TOPSIS is both reasonable and feasible,yielding more objective evaluation outcomes,which offers a scientific and reasonable decision-making basis for the design and selection of tele-communication satellite platform.
