摘要

Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of integrating ideological and political education into Problem-Based Learning(PBL)in the teaching of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.Methods A total of 80 students majoring in stoma-tology from the Medical College of Soochow University be-tween March 2021 and June 2022 were selected and ran-domly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table.The teaching out-comes of the two groups were compared.Results The ob-servation group scored significantly higher than the control group in class performance(9.54±0.22 vs.6.17±1.25),com-prehensive evaluation(19.61±0.14 vs.17.22±1.48),and written test results(66.89±1.31).All differences were statis-tically significant.In addition,the observation group showed higher scores in self-evaluation(9.13±0.45),mutu-al evaluation(9.22±0.31),satisfaction with the implementa-tion and organization of the teaching process(9.05±0.28),and satisfaction with the content and format of the examina-tion(9.18±0.14 vs.8.59±0.55)compared with the control group.Conclusion This teaching mode helps cultivate stu-dents'thinking ability and sense of teamwork,enhances their learning initiative and innovation ability.Meanwhile,the integration of professional courses with ideological and political education can promote students'moral cultivation and social responsibility,enabling them to better apply the knowledge and skills acquired in practice.
