The Application of a Mentorship System Combined with OMP in the Rotation Training of Emergency Gen-eral Practitioners
摘要
Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of com-bining mentorship-based teaching with the OMP(One-Min-ute Preceptor)model in rotation training for grassroots general practitioners(GPs)in emergency departments. Methods From April 2022 to October 2023,60 grassroots GPs undergoing a 4-week rotation in the Emergency De-partment of Zaozhuang Municipal Hospital,Affiliated with Jining Medical University, were enrolled.Using simple ran-domization,the research subjects were divided into the con-trol group and the experimental group, with 30 people in each group. The control group received conventional emer-gency department training, while the experimental group was taught using a mentorship model combined with OMP.Each GP in the experimental group was paired with a dedi-cated mentor who conducted structured teaching according to a training plan.Upon completion of the rotation,an ex-it examination was conducted to compare the outcomes. Results At the time of exit, the clinical skills scores and clinical operation technical scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant;and the clinical skills scores and clinical operation technical scores of both groups of doctors improved compared to those at the begin-ning of the training. Conclusion The combination of men-torship teaching and the OMP model effectively enhances the clinical and procedural skills of grassroots general prac-titioners in emergency settings and is recommended for broader implementation in clinical education.关键词
