Abstract

Objective Based on the concept of out-come-based education(OBE),to enhance the teaching lev-el of medical microbiology and the quality of preventive medicine talent cultivation.Methods A teaching model of"one concept,two centers,and three dimensions"was con-structed.Guided by the OBE concept,it adheres to the prin-ciple of fostering virtue and nurturing talents and centers on student development.Teaching was carried out in three dimensions:theoretical classroom knowledge,experimen-tal and practical training,and extracurricular scientific and technological practice.Results The concept of ideological and political education in medical microbiology based on OBE was established.The content of the public health phy-sician qualification examination was introduced into the classroom,combined with case teaching,and connected with the qualification examination.Problem-based learning(PBL)and team-based learning(TBL)and other teaching methods were applied to enhance students'problem-solving abilities.Qualitative interview software Nvivo was used for teaching evaluation.Most students thought that the teach-ing arrangement,teaching content,and teaching methods were good,and their learning interest was enhanced.Con-clusion Integrating the cultivation of professional abilities into the teaching of medical microbiology is an effective method to improve the professional skills of preventive medicine.On the one hand,it can consolidate students'pro-fessional foundation and broaden their knowledge,enhanc-ing their competence.On the other hand,it helps optimize teachers'teaching methods and evaluation systems,improv-ing the quality of preventive medicine talent cultivation.
