A Multidimensional Analysis of Academic Journals' Narratives on Belt and Road Initiative in the Context of Civilizational Mutual Learning:Critical Reflections Based on Discourse Construction

Abstract
The co-construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road(the Belt and Road)initiative parallels the inter-civilizational communication and mutual learning.This initiative has broadened the scope and framework for inter-civilizational communication and mutual learning,while these communication has,in turn,shaped the thematic direction for the joint construction of the Belt and Road.To tell a good story of the Belt and Road is to tell a good story of inter-civilizational communication and mutual learning.Since President Xi Jinping proposed the initiative of jointly building the Belt and Road in 2013,this grand vision of integrating ancient and modern,connecting China and foreign countries has evolved from concept to implementation,from vision to reality,demonstrating strong practical power and theoretical innovation potential in the historical process of promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.However,in sharp contrast,the construction of the international academic discourse of the Belt and Road faces a structural challenge where practical implementation outpaces theoretical development.As scholars have noted,there exists a disparity where"Chinese stories are wonderful,yet Chinese discourse remains limited".In the current context of the deep reconstruction of the global knowledge production system and the accelerated evolution of the international discourse power pattern,the Belt and Road initiative represents China's contribution to global public product and governance.The development of its international academic narrative extends beyond enhancing China's soft power and national image.It addresses the fundamental epistemological challenge of how non-Western countries can establish authority within the Western-dominated global knowledge system and develop independent discourse system.The critical challenge lies in effectively communicating the Belt and Road narrative while cultivating a credible,lovely and amiable image of China.This paper employs a multi-analytical paradigm of cross-cultural communication to systematically explain the knowledge production mechanisms,practical constraints,and innovative strategies of academic journals in constructing the Belt and Road discourse system,from the perspective of"value concept to practical implementation."The objective is to inject theoretical vitality and practical guidance for China's enhanced participation in the construction of global academic discourse power in the new era.关键词
