Effect of anti-inflammatory dietary pattern on the risk of common chronic multimorbidity among patients with sleep disorders

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the impact of an anti-inflammatory dietary pattern on the risk of common chronic multimorbidity in patients with sleep disorders,and to provide a scientific dietary basis for improving their quality of life.Methods:Data on patients with sleep disorders were obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(NHANES)conducted between 2009 and 2018.Logistic regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between the Dietary Inflammatory Index(DII)and the prevalence of common chronic multimorbidity in these patients.Results:A total of 5 093 patients with sleep disorders were included.Among them,58.18%had common chronic multimorbidity.The DII scores for the 5 093 patients was 2.17±3.54.Logistic regression results showed that,after adjusting for demographic confounding factors,adherence to an anti-inflammatory dietary pattern was associated with a reduced risk of common chronic multimorbidity.Conclusions:Higher adherence to an anti-inflammatory dietary pattern among patients with sleep disorders is associated with a lower risk of developing common chronic multimorbidity.Promoting an anti-inflammatory dietary pattern in patients with sleep disorders could help them to prevent the occurrence of common chronic multimorbidity.关键词
