Abstract

The BIM modeling objects of railway engineering geology are characterized by long and narrow strips,extensive regional coverage,and complex geological conditions,which often result in cumbersome operations and low efficiency when using conventional explicit geological BIM modeling.To address these issues and enhance modeling efficiency and accuracy,this study developed an implicit geological BIM modeling method.The method used the MicroStation modeling software on the Bentley platform as the foundation for secondary development to create an implicit geological BIM modeling program based on the discrete smooth interpolation(DSI)algorithm.The program utilized geological borehole stratification data and topographic data as input sources to perform data preprocessing,3D spatial scalar field computation,3D geological interface topology construction,and 3D model representation.The method was applied to the 3D geological modeling of the Yinchuan West Grand Bridge on the Baotou-Yinchuan High-speed Railway,rapidly and accurately constructing the complex geological body distribution of the site.Compared with existing explicit modeling methods,the method improved modeling efficiency by approximately 87.5%,while ensuring platform compatibility.
