王阳明心学视域中的"树"喻析论
On the Metaphor of"Tree"from the Perspective of Wang Yangming's Mind
摘要
Abstract
The metaphor of"tree"typically embodies the essence of Wang Yangming's mind study.Yang Ming used trees as metaphors to explain the connotation of mind science from three aspects:the source of mind body,the time of mind body and the physical and mental properties of life.Firstly,Yang Ming used the root of the tree to represent the origin of the mental body,showing the subjectivity and origin of the moral mental body,indicating that the mental body is the place where the moral principle grows,and the mental body is like the root of the tree that absorbs nutrients from the soil to nourish its branches and leaves,which has the internal potential to achieve morality.Secondly,Yangming used planting trees as a metaphor for the practice of the mind and body.The practice of holding one's will is like a tree growing with a single focus,adhering to the original source of the mind and body.The effort of investigating things is regarded as the inner effort of the conscience and the mind,and the mind is restored by clarifying good and eliminating evil.Finally,Wang Yangming's meta-phor of the tree's vitality symbolized that the mind and body possess the ability to regenerate,illustrating the life vigor and the moral spirit of rebirth of the mind and body,and highlighting the moral realm of the oneness of all things.Wang Yangming used the metaphor of trees to teach the masses,clarifying the characteristics and es-sence of the thought of the School of Mind.关键词
