中国古代葱的食药两用及文化认知
The Dual Use of Food and Medicine and Cultural Cognition of Chinese Ancient Scallion
摘要
Abstract
Scallion is a kind of medicine food homologous plant with a long and rich history.Ancient farmers promoted its extensive cultivation and utilization by constantly practicing and refining cultivation methods. The study probes into the dual use of food and medicine and cultural cognition of scallions. In terms of food, scallions possess the dual attributes of being both vegetables and condiments.Prior to the Tang Dynasty, scallions carried cultural connotations such as affinity with the people, diligence, thrift, and honesty. However, since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, scallions'status as a primary vegetable has weakened, and their dietary cultural connotations have taken on a more negative tone.In the realm of medicine, scallions play a significant role in traditional medical systems due to its effects of dispersing pathogens, promoting qi and blood circulation, facilitating bowel movements, and detoxifying.Scallions are also known as the a harmonizing herbal plant, derived from their ability to harmonize flavors, yet there are still taboos associated with consuming them during meals or taking medications, adhering to the principle of maintaining balance and moderation. The diverse utilization of scallions and their cultural connotations reflect the interactions among ancient agriculture, diet, medicine, and culture, providing perspectives for related research and promoting the communication and discovery of multiple disciplines.关键词
