丁福保编译的医书及其价值评析
The Contribution of Medical Books Compiled by Ding Fubao to the Chinese Medical Community
摘要
Abstract
By analyzing the contents of medical books complied by Ding Fubao(丁福保)and his compilation as well as translation work in the period from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China,Ding's specific contributions in introducing Western medicine,filling the gaps in medical contents,promoting the integration of Chinese and Western medicines and enriching medical textbooks,as well as Ding's shortcomings in translation,such as the translation based on second-hand resources,which results in the big understanding discrepancy between the translated text and the original text,and the poor importance attached to translation rigor are concluded.Ding's translation activities are a microcosm of transmission of Western medical knowledge and techniques to China.Considering this historical fact under the then complex social and cultural context,and summarizing and comparing the merits and demerits of his book translated work from different disciplinary perspectives can help gain an objective,dialectical,and comprehensive understanding of the historical process of transmission of Western medical knowledge and techniques to China.关键词
